KINLOSS - 13 October 2012

Tom Dingwall Assistant Pro at Nairn Dunbar won Saturday’s North Scottish Golfers’ Alliance fixture at his “local” course Kinloss. Starting at the 10th he recorded birdies at the 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th 8th and 9th against bogeys at the 15th and 5th. Although the course was generally wet after a day and a half of rain, the greens especially defied these conditions being quick with some tricky flags.

Of the three runner up 70’s, Bryan Fotheringham (Inverness) had the best chance of overhauling Campbell, but four dropped shots including a long delay in front at the last were costly.

An outward four under par 30 was the platform to success for John Campbell (Grantown) in Saturday's North Scottish Golfers' Alliance fixture at Moray. (The third hole played as a par 3 due to recent flooding on the fairway) His 67 gave him a two stroke victory from three players and included a closing birdie. There were 100 entries.

Principal Handicap winners were Ray Stewart (Nairn Dunbar) in Section One with 68 and Louis Macbean (Boat of Garten) in Section Two with 67
